Traditions: Building Affection & Connection

What do bath times, pizza nights, and wooden shoes have in common? For us, they are part of family traditions that give us safety, structure, and deeper meaning. Traditions and rituals help us form connection and affection. We're big fans of a good tradition, so we'll share some of our favorites. We'd love to hear some of yours as well!

Friday night pizza:

Preheat oven to 425 F

  • Grocery store Indian naan bread or flatbreads

  • Olive oil

  • Cheese: shredded mozzarella, Italian blend, or crumbled goat cheese

  • A few of our favorite toppings: Italian sausage, caramelized red onion, sauteed bell pepper, marinated artichokes (cut small), sauteed mushrooms

Place naan or flatbread on baking sheet.

Brush lightly with olive oil.

Sprinkle with your favorite cheese.

Arrange your toppings over the cheese.

One light sprinkle of cheese over top for good measure!

Bake in 425 degree oven for 13 minutes.
